Miss East Texas Organization Sponsors & Donors

Our organization is currently accepting sponsorships and donations. If you would like to be a part of an organization that is kicking off in the East Texas community and will be well known for its outstanding reputation for helping young women reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

What is the Miss East Texas Organization Program?

The Miss East Texas Organization program is a local preliminary pageant in the Miss America Organization. The Miss America program is the world's largest source of scholarship for young women, making available over $45 million annually available. All levels of the organization are operated by thousands of volunteers at the Local and State levels.

A sister program to Miss America is Miss America's Outstanding Teen, which promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens, in addition to offering the opportunity to win college scholarship funds as well.

Each contestant is required to have a platform issue for which she has volunteered and supported. Titleholders at the Local, State and National level have been active in issues such as: Breast Cancer Awareness, Mentoring, Volunteerism, Raising Self-Esteem in Children and Youth, HIV/AIDS and Diabetes Awareness and Education to name a few.

The winners of our Local Miss Titles will compete for the State title of Miss Texas and the State title of Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen. The winners of the State title will then represent the State of Texas at the Miss America Pageant and at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant.

Participation in the Miss America Program helps contestants gain increased confidence and self awareness, and helps improve their interview and communication skills. This will help them develop their interview and presentation skills as they move into the workforce. In addition to gaining the attributes listed above, participation in the Miss America program has greatly subsidized many young women's ability to pay for college.

How Will I Benefit from Becoming a Scholarship Sponsor?

Your contribution will help local women further their education and the preparation for their participation in the State competition program.

You will have the opportunity to have the Miss East Texas Titleholders appear, perform and/or speak at your organization's meetings or events, and promote your business or group.

Each business, organization or individual donating scholarship funds of at least $100 will be given advertisement in the Miss East Texas Organization program book, will receive their ad on our Sponsors & Donors website page, and will receive complimentary tickets to the Miss East Texas pageant as well as on-stage recognition during the pageant.

In-Kind Goods & Services

Donations of products, services and time are equally valuable to the Miss East Texas Organization. In fact, most local programs fulfill as many needs as possible through in-kind rather than monetary donations from businesses, organizations and private citizens. These types of arrangements can be structured any number of ways. Examples include:

A print shop that provides free printing of pageant tickets and program books, a tailor who helps alter contestants' costumes for stage productions, or a local restaurant that provides food for contestants during state competition - all in exchange for acknowledgement in a program book or on stage by the master of ceremonies during a local or state pageant.

A local theater, high school or performing arts studio that donates its facility for a pageant in exchange for subsequent appearances by Miss East Texas (Doing so also draws consumers into your place of business).
